Candle making

In an old baked bean or other tin put wax from old candles. Then place this in an old saucepan filled with water that is heated up. This melts the wax. When you have melted it dip in an ordinary white candle and dip it into the hot wax. This gives it a red coating. If you dip it in successively letting it dry each time you can build up a a nice pattern by dipping it in less and less deeply each time. Being in lockdown I don’t have a nice candle photo to upload right now!
